The history of transnationalism and a cultural exchange were not a story of the past for me. In fact, it was more personal. As a foreign student who was born in South Korea, my life in the western country is closely related to both a cultural exchange and transnationalism.  I wanted to express it to a form of textile design. Looking at my note, it is the book written in two different languages; English and Korean. I printed out a texture extracted from many words of different languages written in my note. Many different styles and textile design can be created from written words. The outcome can be various depend on the word choice, font size and font style. Depends on the content of the note, font size and font style, it can make different impressions and patterns at the end. I used Adobe photoshop to overlap both Korean and English words. I extracted the overlapped image and parts, and used it on my pattern. I repeatedly used the overlapped words and image, sometime zoomed in and out, with colour effect on Photoshop. At the end, many different patterns were made.
